Description:
Hilt and Helm Pittsburgh Fencing Club is excited to kick off Unicorn Cup weekend with a seminar on KdF Longsword on Friday, January 16, 2026 featuring Hilt and Helm Alumnus Dan Evans!
Dan Evans, a Hilt and Helm alumnus and multi-medalist in longsword, will travel from Minnesota to teach a 3-hour seminar on the core Kunst des Fechtens (KdF) principle of acting within an opponent's motion to maintain or regain advantage. The seminar will cover how Indes describes actions during moments of potential change, that there are speed limits to correct actions, and how to manipulate an opponent to create those moments for your advantage.
Space for class participants is limited to 16 slots, so reserve your spot today!
We are also making a small number of Spectator-only passes available for the day, with more details below.
